2008 Gibson Les Paul Traditional Desert Burst (SOLD)

SOLD
This is a well-looked after, locally bought Gibson Les Paul Traditional guitar in the Desertburst finish (I’ve had a few of these but this one looks a bit darker then my previous Desertburst LPs…I think it’s absolutely breathtaking)! It has been set up professionally for a comfortable, buzz-free action. It has a solid unchambered back for a thick, meaty tone and superb sustain and its rounded neck shape is one of the most popular profiles ever used on a Les Paul. Two Classic 57 humbuckers give fat, punchy sounds. There is negligible surface wear, and the guitar is in great condition!

The guitar has 3 typical modifications make it ready for professional use, these are standards on the top of the range VOS models:
– there are straplocks fitted for extra strap security
– two new 500k pots on the volumes that were put in recently. They were done professionaly and off course the original Gibson pots are still in the case so can be put back.
– the luthier upgraded the orange drop caps as well. The originals are also still in the case.
The 500k pots make the 57 humbuckers sound a little brighter and punchier. I like to have the extra bite, and Bareknuckle Pickups recommend this mod. You can always roll off top, end, but it’s difficult to add on.

There is some buckle marking on the back – impressions in the lacquer, not scratches.
No dings – one or two tiny marks.

This guitar in this extra colour would cost you around £1750 (http://www.cranesmusicstore.com/gibsonlespaultraditionaldesertburst-p-1633.html) but my price for this guitar with PRO updates is £1270 SOLD
