Beginning with a solid mahogany body the Gibson 2016 Explore utilizes a premium piece of tonewood to deliver the iconic, angular body shape. The glued-in neck is carved into a supremely playable SlimTaper profile and is topped with a thick bound rosewood fingerboard that hosts traditional inlays.

There is plenty of classic tones on hand, with that essential contemporary performance thanks to the powerful 496R and 500T humbucker pickups. Loaded with powerful ceramic magnets, these pickups generate scorching leads and crunching rhythm tones.
