This is my absolute favourite Strat finish: Fiesta Red with dark rosewood fretboard (actually it’s the darkest rosewood I’ve ever seen on a Fender guitar)! Gary Moore, Mark Knopfler, Chris Rea…this beauty reminds me of the Strats of my heroes! I’ve bought this for myself but I’ve just realised I’ve already got far too many guitars in my personal collection…so sadly this needs a new home…
So back to the business: this 1960s Strat has a fantastic oval C neck, 9.5 inch radius, vintage tremolo and ultra thin nitro finish…the fretboard is very special one. I haven’t had this quality dark rosewood fretboard here for a while. Obviously this is light weight as it’s got a premium selected alder body and one piece quartersawn maple neck. You can feel the quality acoustically, very resonant and loud. The pickups are Custom Shop 60s, not a bad thing about these. It’s got such a bell like tone!
It’s all original, very near mint condition. It has a few playing marks on it but hey it’s 60s Reissue Strat I think a few marks here and there not the end of the world 🙂 it’s not been played much though as it’s only 2 years old and has zero fret wear. It’s got such a thin and sensitive nitro finish, everything leaves a mark on it. But that’s part of the beauty! If you worry about marks, sratches or cracks on a nitrocellulose lacquered guitar then buy something else, as it will be cracked and marked more even when you just look at it 🙂
It’s a legendary model in the fantastic Fiesta Red nitro finish.
It comes with its Custom Shop certificate, hard case and case candy…plus a nice leather bag for the certificate and shop floor traveller 🙂 plus a very nice Custom Shop leather strap as well etc…
You won’t be disappointed with this package I’m sure.
