Fender’s American Original Series are the upgraded version of the retired AVRI (American Vintage Reissue) series with even more period correct features! These instruments offer specially voiced pickups crafted for authentic sound of specific model years, recreating pure vintage Fender tone. These guitars have fantastic lacquer (nitrocellulose) finishes lets the wood “breathe” naturally with resonant tone also these guitars will age amazingly! The whole package (guitar, case and candy) is so much better than it was before. These instruments now offer a “lot of guitar” for the money!
This instrument finished in classic candy apple red. What an amazing finish! Seriously!
In the 60s the fingerboard was switched from the original maple to rosewood, which added a smoother, mellower, a bit jazzier touch to the Strat’s clear, articulate voice.
Features include an alder body with lacquer finish, three Pure Vintage ‘65 single-coil Stratocaster pickups, and a thick “60s C”-shaped neck profile with a comfortable 9.5”-radius fingerboard.
