First of all the pickups were developed by pickup guru Tim Shaw: these are voiced specifically for each position. They now call them the new V-Mod single-coil pickups. Nicely balanced, different alnico magnet types for each pickups to produce a more punchy tone while still sounding like a good old Fender. They also installed the new treble-bleed tone circuit that saves the treble / presence when we turn the volume down on the guitar! I love this!
A new modern neck profile feels a bit rounder and just a bit more substantial than the older models while staggered height tuners and new 2-Point synchronized tremolo with bent steel saddles uses a pop-in trem arm like the old American Deluxe.
The sunburst finish is second to none and I really like the high quality rosewood board! It really appears to be of high quality!
