1999 PRS McCarty Hollowbody I

This is a 27 years old guitar (yes it was made in 1999) in IMMACULATE / MUSEUM GRADE condition and it’s also a VERY RARE BIRD! Hollowbody PRS guitars are amazing and much more rare than solid body instruments. These very early, kinda first models are very very sought after! The Hollowbody I model was replaced by Hollowbody II but those were much more “overcomplicated” models than this first run! These came with the highly graded so called “McCarty Archtop” pickups that were designed / optimised for these archtop guitars…(unlike other brands where they use the same pickups in solid, semi-hollow and hollowbody guitars)…and yes the pickups sound amazing (check my video!!)…literally all 3 pickup position sounds awesome! Rolly was amazed how good they are and how hard to choose which pickup should be used for which demo / example…

It really delivers that super sweet, warm, airy Jazz / Blues electric guitar sounds while it stays in tune and plays in tune (very PRS guitar thing…intonation is perfect such as tuning stability – unlike some other big brands…)

Playability, fretwork second to none, the quality of the tuners, pots…different league. And yes in 1999 PRS produces much less guitars than today so much more real hand work went into these…

So this is in MINT condition and comes with its original hang tags and hard case (also in clean condition – check the video (!!!) ).
